Complimenting the existing range of safety products the KLEEN Blade Management System allows for effortless safe attachment and removal of surgical blades from a standard handle. The system which incorporates a quality Swann-Morton surgical blade is designed to operate with most No.3 and No.4 standard surgical handles already in circulation within the hospital system thus minimising disruption and cost during the conversion process.
The blade is supplied sterile inside a protective sliding sheath which covers the blade completely thus assisting with accident free handling. The sheath fully exposes the surgical blade when in use with an intuitive lock which prevents any forward movement of the sheath during the procedure. Easy to detach the BMS encapsulates the contaminated sharp which is still visible for the final count and to help ensure safe and responsible disposal.

No.10 KLEEN BMS - The No.10 blade with its curved cutting edge is one of the more traditional blade shapes and is used generally for making small incisions in skin and muscle. The No.10 KLEEN BMS fits Handle numbers 3 and 3L.
No.11 KLEEN BMS - The No.11 is an elongated triangular blade sharpened along the hypotenuse edge and with a strong pointed tip making it ideal for stab incisions. Used in various procedures such as the creation of incisions for chest drains, opening coronary arteries, opening the aorta and removing calcifications in the aortic or mitral valves. The No.11 KLEEN BMS fits Handle numbers 3 and 3L.
No.11P KLEEN BMS - An extended cutting edge combined with a long, fine point makes the 11P ideal for stab incisions in soft tissue for the insertion of chest drains and Cardiac catheters. The No.11P KLEEN BMS fits Handle numbers 3 and 3L.
No.15 KLEEN BMS - The No.15 blade has a small curved cutting edge and is the most popular blade shape ideal for making short and precise incisions. It is utilised in a variety of surgical procedures including the excision of a skin lesion or recurrent sebaceous cyst and for opening coronary arteries. No.15T KLEEN BMS - The short rounded cutting edge combined with an angled point provide additional strength to this blade making it ideal for fine procedures in the hand and foot. The No.15T KLEEN BMS fits Handle numbers 3 and 3L.
No.18 KLEEN BMS - Available sterile in individual paper film packs and boxed in units of 50. The No.18 KLEEN BMS fits Handle numbers 4 and 4L.
No.20 KLEEN BMS - The No.20 blade is a large version of the No.10 blade with a curved cutting edge and a flat, unsharpened back edge. It is used for orthopaedic and general surgical procedures. The No.20 KLEEN BMS fits Handle number 4 and 4L.
No.21 KLEEN BMS - The No.21 is a large version of the No.10 blade with a curved cutting edge and a flat, unsharpened back edge. The No.21 fits handles 4, 4L, 4 Graduated & 6B.
No.22 KLEEN BMS - The No.22 blade is a large version of the No.10 blade with a curved cutting edge and a flat, unsharpened back edge and is used for skin incisions in both cardiac and thoracic surgrey and to cut the bronchus in lung resection surgery. No.23 KLEEN BMS - The No.23 is a "leaf-shaped" blade sharpened along its leading edge and is used for making long incisions such as an upper midline incision of the abdomen during the repair of a perforated gastric ulcer. The No.23 fits handles 4, 4L, 4 Graduated & 6B.
No.24 KLEEN BMS - Slightly larger than the No.23 blade, the No.24 is more semi circular in shape and is again sharpened along it's leading edge and is used for making long incisions in general surgery and also in autopsy procedures. The No.24 KLEEN BMS fits handles 4, 4L, 4 Graduated & 6B
