It has been proved that wipe disinfection is superior to spray disinfection as wiping allows a superior cover effect as well as additional mechanical removal of micro organisms.

For surface and equipment disinfection start at the edges first and then the middle of the surface or equipment trying to use a figure of 8 so that you do not to go back over yourself. Wipe for 30 seconds to 1 minute and leave to air dry.

Uses for Clinell Universal Wipes

Disinfectant Wipes

• Clinell single use disinfectant wipes can be used to clean hard surfaces, medical equipment and any other areas on the ward in hospital. As the Clinell wipes are single use, this reduces the risk of microbial cross contamination between medical devices and shared surfaces.

Detergent

• Many hospitals currently purchase disinfectant wipes and detergent wipes separately. This is not required when using a Clinell wipe from the universal range. This reduces cost, waste and most importantly time, when it comes to minimising contamination.
